that’s great advice Jon thanks. I have done quite a few webinars as a host and more than a few ‘in front of the people’ talks. I do hear you when you say people prefer genuine over slick… I’ll have to have a play with it again. thanks

We used Camtasia with a Powerpoint presentation to make the free DVD we give away as a promo tool. My business partner did it as he’s done the presentation live several times. Maybe that’s the way to rehearse it? Create the PP presentation then present it “live” to friends and family a few times? Or maybe do a webinar, record it, then edit it down afterwards.

Personally I think your won voice and personality will “sell” it better than a voice-over artist can. People in the blogosphere prefer “genuine” over “slick”!

I use Camtasia and have to separate the two task- recording the screen actions or powerpoint and doing the narrating. If you do the screen shots first then it's easier to wing the marration.
