Roads closed, flash floods in the lower elevations. Well on a personal level I find the cold refreshing and the scenery simply beautiful. However, Ireland just wasn't prepared for such weather and the entire country nearly came to a standstill. So ultimately I guess it is just a matter of being self-sufficient. If you are prepared for bad weather and have proper clothing and a well insulated house you probably do like snow. As for businesses, it depends on which business you are in. If you are lucky enough to have an online business, and providing broadband is still intact, it shouldn't affect you. However, if you are like most people who have to get up extra early in the morning because of the bad road conditions - well you probably aren't going to be in love with wintry scenes!
