I have some exciting plans for a commentluv site where you’ll be able to do much more with your commentluv plugin such as define a default post for your site url so it shows that instead of your latest post when you comment on a CL site or choose a cache time for your last post or see a list of the last 10 blogs you commented on etc etc.
This will be possible when I’ve made the site and learned all thats needed to play with a database, I’m on holiday next week so the coding will probably have to wait until I come back so to keep you busy, I encourage you to register your commentluv enabled blog or site at the Top CommentLuv Sites, you’ll get some small exposure and get a pretty little badge for your blog that shows your rank based on your unique hits and you get the chance for your glorious 468×80 banner to be seen by the 10′s (at least!) of people that visit the directory.
Seriously though, it is well known that CommentLuv has increased the quantity of comments made on many (if not all) of the blogs that use it so having a directory of sites that people know link back to them if they comment could have a positive effect for bringing new visitors and commentators to your site.
The template for the site is being developed but all the gubbins are there and it’s working fine already, only the asthetics need to be taken care of so there’s no time to lose! get yourself registered !
Please note that only CommentLuv enabled sites will be allowed to remain in the directory so please make sure you have it installed and working before you register or I’ll send some poodles round to gnaw at your toes ![]()
Simply visit Top CommentLuv Sites and register your site for immediate commentluv gratification

This is another great idea that you are promoting Andy. You really have done a lot for the blogging community. To show you my appreciation I have just sent you ten bucks via paypal. I know it ain’t much but it will have to do until I reach ‘problogger’ status. I recommend others contribute what they can as well to go towards the cost of this great plugin’s upkeep. I will also be proud to display that badge on my blogs.

Sorry to leave the comment here Andy, but when I joined your TopCommentluv sites it did not send me the code in the email, only the badge. I was able to log on and get the code manually though.

Andy, when I registered, I uploaded a banner file which exceeded the size parameters. Now they say there is already a me registered, but I cannot upload the correct banner size.
Also? I can’t find the badge. Blame me, I’m tired tonight.

CommentLuv has definitely taken off recently…it’s getting to be soo much more popular nowadays.
July 5th, 2008 on 11:16 am
I think this idea is definitely going to take off. Bloggers looking to earn a link back to their site will go way out to comment and maybe even do it religiously, once there is a directory compiled specially for that purpose.
I will be proud to display this badge on my site, only thing is to find time to do the installation.

I shall wait till you get back and tweak all that you want before I register. Just being careful.

sire: thanks for the donation! the email that gets sent out with the html code for displaying the button probably got interpreted as an html email by your mail software so instead of showing the code, it rendered it as html.
witchypoo: you can always log in to userCP and edit your settings and read your code there or add banners.
LBB: I did try that but it needs to use it’s own internal link so it can register it as a vote or ‘out’ click
susan: I’ve noticed a definite increase in traffic to the script this week, I think CL must have been written about on a popular blog this week.
jefflin: it does seem to be getting more popular lately, it’s why I want to create a membership site for it so it can get even popular-er
nicole: all the code works, it’s just the theme design that still wants to be done, there’ll be no harm joining now if you get around to it.

I still don’t get it on how CommentLuv works. What we get in return? Just backlinks?
July 7th, 2008 on 4:51 pm
sire: You can now register up to 5 sites
jimy: commentluv isn’t for what you get, it’s for what your visitors get – namely, a link to their latest post on each comment they make on your site.

Just come across this CommentLuv plugin. It has to be one of the best ways to (not only increase comment traffic legitimately) but keep visitors coming back to your website as they have incentive to do so.
Great directory mate!
