For me, this is some sort of tutorial and there’s much I learned just by reading it. As a beginner in this field however, I kinda got lost the moment you mentioned jQuery. I just don’t have aptitude for these things.

Congratulations for the excellent work. Comparing the before and after phases of the website, I have to say you have turned the ’simple’ website into a much more functional, easy on the eyes, very professional looking website.

Excellent article. What you really need to do is to concentrate on capturing the names and emails of people who visit the site and offer them a coupon code. You can then email them with any special offers you may have.
I advised a wedidng car business in Ireland to do this and their business tripled and if it is a repeat business like yours then it would work even better. This business is now seeing out the recession and has more business than it ever had.

Thanks for sending me the link over twitter. It turned out to be a rather long article But it was a good read into the process of taking some old “crappy” website to the 2009 stage. Very clever idea to use WordPress and custom fields for the menu. I think usually people will do something custom or get a system optimized for “online-food”, but I see no reason why WP and custom fields shouldn’t work just as well.
