version 2.1.5 is now the proper, final, it should bloody work on all sites now release.

No pin in the voodoo doll, I guess you guys do a good job for some pee nuts. Well, but in spite of them it’s really very annoying for me. I got a fine plug-in and used it for month now, than a new version and suddenly a lot of HTML errors. I hate sites which are not clear HTML and CSS – as a rule I leave such sites immediately for ever, because it is really not so difficult, it shows that the webmaster does not care … ahh forget it! Just want use on my site a valid (x)HTML and CSS and I wonde4r how Word-press can recommend pluigins which destroy the blog.
I really liked your plugin I would be happy if you could send me a short message, when the plugin is clean and neat as it was before.

By the way, version 2.1.5 ? I’m speaking about commentluv 2.1.2 the version before was ok. If there is time enogh I’ll correct the code and post you the flawa.

you can download 2.1.5 at the wordpress plugins page at

it fixes the issue of the validation errors and a couple of other things.
let me know if this doesn’t validate when it’s installed

Hey Andy, 2.1.5 isn’t showing up in the auto-update thingy, I was able to update this morning to 2.1.4 using that function.

Suddenly I don’t feel so bad about 2.1.2 not working lol.
I hear WP 2.7 is coming soon so I’m hoping to be able to wait it out in case you need to make more changes.
I was able to reinstall 1.92 which is what I had, and it all seems to look and work ok for now…

For some reason, CommentLuv stop working on my blog (it doesn’t get latest posts from my commentators anymore).. not sure what’s wrong
It can either be the WP-SuperCache update problem or the latest CommentLuv update problem

Hi Andy, good blog interesting posts, interesting comments too. How do you rate comment luv? I have noticed some sites seem to switch it on and off can it bring unwanted attention? Good decision learning to surf in Hawaii, and not the UK. You cannot surf in speedos here even in the summer.

Steve: I rate commentluv 11/10 of course! I think it adds value to the comments and with it being jquery based now, it wont get called for bots which helps with spam

Good news and bad news. Good news is I can choose the post I want to show up now. (I just was using a slightly wrong url before.)
Bad news is, the ACL badges aren’t showing up anywhere now, just broken image boxes in the settings page. Here’s where it’s trying to load a link from: /blog/wp-admin/WP_CONTENT_URL/plugins/commentluv/CL91×17-black.gif
Methinks WP_CONTENT_URL should not be there?

byteful: try downloading 2.1.5 again, I updated the codex with the wrong final and then overwrote it with the proper one so you might have got the one with the dopey error in it. the new version wont have wp_content_url bit in it.

Well, I downloaded the plugin from Wordpress.com’s plugin directory again and the problem is still there. Or should I try downloading it from CL.com?

Hello again! The new hearts are nice. Possibly a little big though. If I get time during this busy week, I’ll make some 16×16 version for you.
I upgraded to 2.1.6 but the problem persists. The badges still don’t show up on the CommentLuv settings page.
