I was stumbling today and I found this really great post about 101 Writing tips.
It has gems like,
#9 Don’t use commas, to separate text unnecessarily.
#10 It can be shown that you shouldn’t miss out too many details.
#46 To qualify is to weaken, in most cases.
#74 Sporting analogies won’t even get you to first base.
It was hilarious, I must have been guilty of most of them since I started blogging, especially, commas, how about you?
The post is 101 Writing Tips

Hi Andy,
I had to laugh.
I’m only just setting out in blogging and already I’ve recognised I’m using too many commas. So it was funny that I found your post this morning.
Thanks for Comment Luv BTW. Much appreciated

I read your post about becoming a stay at home dad, took guts!.. you may have been tough on crime but the first time your newborn grows up enough to look into your eyes and do that thing they do, you’ll be butter in their hands!

Well, not only you’re quality -) I use a lot of commas as well, but, I think it is reasonable… and helps to understand what I mean

Sorry Andy but it went against the grain to read the whole 101 writing tips, but I must say the the first half dozen were quite amusing.

Nice find Andy
I’m a bit OCD when it comes to grammar and spelling….. OK, a lot OCD! BUt I’m never quite sure where commas should go. If I say the sentence in my head, and it feels like I’m pausing at a certain point, then I usually stick a comma in there
