I hate it when this happens. I know you put hours in on trying to recover your stuff. I recently had a server that had a sql problem. The hosting company would not even reply to me to run a simple repair on the database so I moved, but the client had to enter all of their listings in again, this happened to a Real Estate site I designed years ago. Tedious but we got it done.

Point is I also hate losing info. Glad you got most of it back, luckily we did too except the one table in the database. I now host all of my own sites, no more shoddy hosting companies.

I’ll have to have a look at your blog ecigmate. I’ve been using totallywicked and ecigsoutlet for my stuff. Haven’t had a cigarette since September because of this ecig. I’m loving not stinking of an ashtray and even better, I haven’t had to go out in the cold for a smoke break for nearly 6 months.

frank: in my experience, it hasn’t made any effect. as soon as your site is noticed, as long as you keep getting traffic and adding content to your site. It’ll pretty much stay there. My chosen terms are still having the same results months after the link got taken off the high PR page.

Well done Andy, we are a UK seller of these wonderful devices, and i like to read success stories about them from all over the world. These stopped me smoking and this pushed me in to selling these to save others from the fate of smoking!!!#

Its all about page rank. If your PR 3 page only has 3 or so out bound links then all that page rank will be passed to you chinese food takeout place. and since the competition is probably low for its keyword phrase…this is enough to move it up.
