I’ve managed to get some major bookends done for some projects I have on the go and I’m really looking forward to being able to code for fun again now that I have stabbed the various work monkeys on my back!

However, I can’t get my blogger commentluv sorted until js-kit get their script fully updated. Sometimes it works on js-kit and sometimes it don’t. Sorry to all you google bloggers out there using commentluv but until js-kit have settled into their final script, every change I make is only temporary. Please be patient until they have a final stable comments script and then I can make commentluv work on their system consistently.

***Update***
Apparently there was a minor bug in the blogger Commentluv script that didn’t close the </a> tag in the comment which prevented the comments from synchronizing. That has been fixed.

If you are having issues with commentluv not showing then please visit your js-kit settings page and enable the expand “leave a comment” so your page shows the form instead of the user having to click the link to show it.

Another company to update their comment system is Typepad. Their new comment system that allows you to track comments is unfortunately, incompatible with the typepad version of Commentluv. This is due to them not loading the comment form until after the rest of the page has loaded which means commentluv can’t see it when it loads.

I’ll have to figure out some way of pausing the script load until after the comment form appears.

Another monkey on my back was an old project that got canned because a company I was being outsourced from didn’t pay their bills! Luckily, the restaurant owner managed to contact me and I was able (after much hassle) to transfer their site to my own server and update the database to work properly.

Blogger CommentLuv

After 16 hours of starting and then rewriting and then editing and then adjusting and then tweaking…. I have got a version of CommentLuv working on Blogger blogs.

I had it working before but you needed to use Haloscan as the commenting system and the problem with that is, it’s obsolete and a Blogger blogger would lose all their comments if they switched.

Now, I have it working well with js-kit which is a replacement commenting system for blogger blogs that backs up all your previous comments and you can take your comments with you when you move blog platforms.

Hot on the heels of the Blogger commentluv, I have adjusted it a bit to work with Typepad blogs.

It’s a pretty simple process to install and seems to work quite well.

I just found out by email from someone congratulating me on my elottery win, I didn’t know what he meant. I did receive a cheque for 50 quid this morning from elottery though. It was for a bunch of smaller prize wins added together and it tipped over my requested payout level. I pretty much win a small prize every week but I didn’t think it was because of that so I went online to check my accounts..

After checking my 3rd account online I found out that my elottery syndicate had matched 4 numbers plus the bonus ball last Wednesday for a total of EIGHTY EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT POUNDS AND NO PENCE!!! and it was for an account that I had signed up at least 5 people for, so in effect, my entry fee was completely covered by commission (and it has been like this since the second day I joined elottery). I’ve been play this way for a few years now and I have literally hundreds of wins from it, there is rarely a week goes by without me winning at least one small prize!

Mazza Indian Restaurant in Kettering has it’s own website, it’s nearly finished with just a tiny bit to do up here and there and it’s ready to rock!

As soon as I walked in there I was impressed by the size and quality of furnishing, even the toilet area was high class and immaculate! (you can tell a lot about a restaurant by it’s toilets!) so it’s only fitting that I put in some extra work for their website so it matches the quality and impact of their place.

Once I get the takeaway menu scanned and pdf’d, that will go up and be ready to download by all. One thing I am pleased about is the ability for diners to leave their own reviews which get displayed on the site after being moderated. Browsers can even leave their details to receive updates via email about the latest promotions and events going on at Mazza Restaurant.

I’ll be taking the missus there next week for the launch of the website and we can both enjoy a fine, expertly crafted Indian meal in the beautiful surroundings of this fine Indian restaurant. Right in the heart of Northamptonshire.

It looks like uVme have been updating the games again. One thing to change is the power meter functionality of the darts game. Whereas before it would always start at the top and move down, it now starts at a different position. This takes away the problem of someone using a click recorder to play back the perfect click.

After much free playing I have found a way to get a 4 dart finish (which to my disgust has already been found and posted about months ago! lol)

I used to think getting up to 5 and then doing a treble 6 to take you to 19 was the way but, noooo. There’s a 4 dart finish possible and given enough practice you’ll be scoring in the 60,000 mark in no time!
