Twitter: commentluv no over the top at all. it still makes me drop my jaw, especially when i look at the higher resolution version. There’s literally no green showing at all!
What a picture, nobody seems to be mentioning global warming these days that much.
Maybe after 50 or 100 winters like this they may come up with global cooling theory again and claim it’s proven as the scientists were scaring people with global cooling and even an ice age in the seventies.
This pic reminds me of The Day After Tomorrow, when an ice age descended on the planet in about 2 hours. Having had a disaster trying to get back home from London, I can tell you it felt like an ice age while I was standing around waiting on a new flight! Looking at that picture now it seems such a long time ago. If I remember rightly quite a few national newspapers used this image on the front pages at the time. Quality image. Photography Yorkshire´s last blog ..Photographing North Yorkshire Moor Apprentices.

Hi,

Things change and yet they also remain the same.
It’s so easy to manipulate the masses.

It’s pretty spectacular.
While it’s cold on that side of the planet it’s been consistent 35°C+ here.
