A new messenger software that can make you money

uvme IM window

Here’s a sneak preview of the standalone messenger that is soon to be released by uVme, I’ve been given advance notice of it’s features in readiness for the launch of the company on 21st January 2008.

uVme is going to rock the world of networking and social marketing, there has been a huge effort to get this thing working. It was conceptualized over 2 years ago by Tom Brodie and Len Fitzgerald, the founders of VWD. I am really looking forward to the launch! the games are great fun and easy to play, I will have the opportunity to offer another 3 people a preview of these games this weekend. (if you were one of the lucky preview people last weekend, you can now invite 3 of your friends to preview the games too by logging in to your site on Friday and adding their details).

If you’d like a preview place for this weekend, just register here (for free) and let me know in the comments. If you get chosen, I’ll enter your details on the site tomorrow night and you’ll receive your access details soon after…

The Messenger

uvme messenger logon* It will be like MSN

* It will be Rich with Features

* It will connect with the .com and .biz sites

* It will allow you to connect via multiple connections

* It will be the First in our industry

* It will be the most dynamic tool you have

* It will take your business to a new level

* And it will be an incredible viral business tool!

Tom went over the numbers at the preview session..

The average person has around 50 contacts on their messenger (source: MSN)
If 30% of them just played games
..and 1 in 5 of them became an associate (you can register to be a uVme associate here)
..and that went down through 6 generations by those 3 chatting and playing games with their buddies
.. that would pay out over 3000 USD per week or a massive 160,000 USD a year!!! (converted from GBP at a rate of 2-1)

Now I don’t know about you, but, when I see numbers like that on a sales page or other promotional material, it doesn’t seem real! I have been to the leaders meeting (details here) and I’ve seen what the pay plan is. It’s awesome and totally geared around you helping others. They have taken the best bits from all the pay plans out there and combined it with a revolutionary new type of social product that will change the face of networking forever. (big words I know but, you’ll see!)

Above is the interface you will have, to enable you to add new existing Instant Messenger contacts to your New uVme IM. This is designed to be a simple process – just username and Password.

I am sure you will agree that the new IM is a great tool, Instant Messaging is growing in popularity 2x faster than email – there are NO spam issues and you can offer live support to your people as well as challenging them to games therefore making more money and building your team..

Couple that with Online Skill Games, which in themselves are growing 4x faster than the internet its-self AND this is an Network Marketing business! Network Marketing has grown by 40% each year for the last 17 years!!

You can still register at the uVme site for free and there’s still time to put your name in the comments to be a beta tester, you get a starting bank of 20GBP and you can be from anywhere in the world…

I hope to see you on my ever expanding contacts list!

  1. Wow that is quite interesting I will definitely tell my friends here about it!

  2. I’ve played on uVme last weekend, and I still don’t understand quite a few things about it.
How is it supposed to make money? By ads, or the money that members pay to play? I gather you get 20GBP only as an incentive to start, or it’s just for beta testers? But you’d run out of these 20GBP easily if you’re not a good player.

Ack! I should give this network more time to explore it. As soon as I finish a few projects.

  3. charles: I hope you do, did you sign up through my link?
mira: when the system launches the money will be made by the associates, every game that gets played by players that join through their link will earn them a percentage of the money that they pay to play. Also, if anyone that joined through their link goes on to become an associate too they then get a bonus paid to them by the company and will earn a (smaller) percentage on the new associates games and members.

    hope that makes sense!

  4. That’s an interesting concept. I’m interested to see how well they do.

    thanks for coming by..:-)

  6. Andy, this is interesting software that once again tries to monetize on social networking and the “web 2.0″ trend. I would be interested to know what type of games actually been offered? US Congress seem to have their own opinions about what should be permited online as we know from what happened a year ago …

  7. Hi Andy,

Is there any sort of age limitation on this service, or the beta testers? I’m not much of a gamer, but a few of those games from your previous post look like something my 15 year old son might be interested in. Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Todd

  8. alex: yes, another software! actually, this software was initially to help a networker keep in contact with their entire team. The uVme games concept fitted nicely into it. There are more features to the site and system but I didn’t want to bore people with too much detail. the games can be seen on a post I made about them here.

Todd: to play the games for real there is a minimum age of 16 or 18 to be an associate but that didn’t stop me letting the kids play the games last weekend, they were better than me at some of them! it’s my intention to let them play them for me occasionally when the system goes live. There is a free option on all the games so that can keep them occupied while you see how they work…

    thanks for visiting!

  9. I don’t play online multiuser games so cannot be sure but the charges for playing each games seems to be high. In that case speculating that 30% of users would play games and 1 in 6 would become associates is too optimistic.

  10. jalaj: thanks for your comments, I do think it depends on what type of contacts you have on your messenger. If you are not one to play multi user games, it seems fair that not many of your contacts will either, if you DO play lots of games and really like to then it also seems fair that the type of people that you have added to your contacts will be similar to you and would enjoy playing games, not to mention, that you don’t have to pay to play, you can play the games for free and still have fun! (as do millions of people on places like King.com)

  11. That sounds interesting. I’ve heard of this software before. Unfortunately I don’t play multi user games so it would be of no use for me. I don’t think anyone I know plays them.

Opal Tribble’s last blog post..Tin Man Really Stunk

  12. opal: I hardly ever play games myself either, the reason I am excited about this is the fact that millions of other people do, at one time there can be over 150,000 people just from the UK playing games on king.com. That tells me enough about the popularity of games like this to continue to promote it. I’m quite confident that it will take off nicely, nice enough for me to put a few posts up about it anyway. ;-)

    thanks for your comment though!

  14. It sounds a bit like Trillian only with a multi-user yahoo games element and tiered affiliate style money making program, am I far off the mark?

  15. AntiB: that’s a pretty good approximation yes! This is just one of the tools the company will be using, I figured it deserved some press :-)

can’t wait til it goes live!

  18. Andy, I’ll keep an eye on uVme, and will see what it takes to become an associate, even though online payment is not popular in Morocco.

I love fruit frenzy too. :D

  20. Lalla: it’s worth keeping an eye on for sure, I’ll be posting how my experience goes here. Thanks for beta testing!

Dave: you should get a three phone on PAYG, it’ll cost a fiver a month for internet and you can use bluetooth to use the phone as a modem. It works well!

  21. You say it is like msn, does it use the msn network? It will be interesting to see if it takes off next year.
